Our beautiful clients, Shantel + Gerry, granted us the creative freedom to design a statement ceremony backdrop, showcasing stunning floral arrangements in captivating red, pink, and amber tones. A Vision Unveiled:
From the very first meeting with Shantel + Gerry, I sensed their eagerness to create a wedding that was both unique and unforgettable. As we sat down to discuss their vision, we explored various themes and colour palettes; Shantel kept coming back to one image in particular, and this became our anchor for which all designs were based around:
With these colours and hues in mind, we sought to mirror the natural beauty of the Kangaroo Valley while infusing it with an air of romantic elegance.
Creating the Ceremony Backdrop:
With their trust and creative freedom, I set out to design a show-stopping ceremony backdrop that would become our focal point. The abundant flora and fauna surrounding Wildwood provided the perfect inspiration, and I drew upon the valley's wild charm to craft a breathtaking display. Infusing the natural beauty of Wildwood, we carefully selected towering branches of tobacco plants adorned with clusters of ruby-red, salmon-pink and toffee colour roses, delicate latte carnations and chrysanthemums, plus fiery amber-hued cymbidium orchids and hydrangea. These stunning blooms intertwined gracefully with cascading dark foliages, trailing Amaranthus, and statement orchids, evoking a sense of enchantment and grandeur.
Enhancing the Atmosphere:
The beauty of Wildwood and indeed the surrounding Kangaroo Valley needs no embellishment, but we wanted to enhance its natural splendour. We carefully positioned clusters of red, pink, and amber-toned floral arrangements throughout the venue, allowing the colours to harmonise with the surroundings. Lush centerpieces adorned each reception table, featuring an assortment of roses, dahlias and orchids, creating a captivating tapestry of hues that mirrored the sunset-kissed valley.
Personal Florals:
Let's not forget the exquisite bridal bouquets and buttonholes that accompanied this unforgettable wedding celebration. For the bridal bouquets, we curated stunning arrangements filled with an abundance of roses in various shades of red, pink, and amber. It was important to Shantel to work with our beautiful surroundings and so we incorporated magnolia branches into her bridal bouquet. To coordinate with the bridal bouquets, we carefully designed matching buttonholes for the groom and groomsmen, ensuring that every detail harmonised seamlessly. These buttonholes featured delicate roses, enhancing the overall aesthetic and creating a cohesive look for the entire bridal party.
We take pride in curating unforgettable moments through our floral artistry. With the creative freedom granted by Shantel and Gerry, we seamlessly merged nature's palette with their unique vision, resulting in an extraordinary celebration that will forever hold a special place in their (and our!) hearts.
