Celebrating Love and Joy: Vibrant Summer Wedding Florals at The Cove in Jervis Bay

As a Sydney wedding florist, I am constantly inspired by the beauty of the surrounding nature and unique love stories that unfold before me. Every wedding I work on is a chance to create something truly magical, but when I had the opportunity to design florals for Daana + Jacob at The Cove in Jervis Bay, I knew I was in for an extraordinary experience. With clients who embraced their fun personalities and a love story filled with adventure and romance, I was given the creative freedom to craft an enchanting display that would perfectly reflect their vibrant summer wedding.

Capturing the Essence of Summer:

When I first met Daana and Jacob, their passion for the summer season was infectious. Both surf life rescuers at a beach near where I live, they dreamed of a wedding that radiated warmth, joy, and bursts of color. To bring their vision to life, I knew I needed to harness the essence of summer through the use of vibrant flowers that would make everyone's hearts sing.

Dahlias: As well as being Daana's favourite flowers, and with their stunning variety of colours and intricate petal formations, dahlias became the centerpiece of the floral design. I carefully selected a mix of dahlias in shades of peach, coral, fuchsia, and sunny yellow, with elegant pops of burgundy to provide depth, mirroring the vibrant hues of a summer sunset.

Zinnias: To amplify the sense of joy and playfulness, I incorporated zinnias into the arrangement. Their whimsical shapes and vivid pigments added an element of fun to the overall design. Ranging from burnt oranges to lively pinks and sunny yellows, the zinnias danced amidst the other blooms.

Flowering Gum: As the wedding was set in the breathtaking landscape of the Booderee National Park, I wanted to infuse the local charm into the floral arrangements. The inclusion of flowering gum, with its vibrant red-pink blossoms and distinctive gum leaves, added an Australian touch to the celebration. These native blooms served as a reminder of the couple's roots and the place where their love story began.

Roses: No summer wedding would be complete without roses, the epitome of timeless romance. I carefully selected a mix of roses in soft blush and peach tones to add a touch of elegance and grace to the design. These classic blooms intertwined with the other vibrant flowers, creating a harmonious blend of modern and traditional elements.

The reception venue was transformed into a wonderland of colour. Every detail, from the bouquets to the boutonnieres, was infused with the same joy and vibrancy that filled the air that day.

Designing the florals for this vibrant summer wedding at The Cove in Jervis Bay was a true labor of love. With Daana and Jacob's trust and creative freedom, I was able to bring their personalities and love story to life through the artistry of flowers. The bright pops of dahlias, zinnias, flowering gum, and roses transformed the venue into a celebration of love, joy, and the beauty of summer. It was an honor to be a part of such a special day, and I will forever cherish the memories of this unforgettable wedding.

Here's what Daana and Jacob had to say:

"Krysta, where do we even begin. We both agree that you were our favourite vendor. From the beginning it felt like you were genuinely so excited for us, and it felt like we were working with one of our friends. The whole process from design through to delivery was so personal and communication was amazing. You were even reaching out to us to see if we needed more help with anything. You were so welcoming of our extravagant floral ideas and you were completely transparent with what each item would cost. This was really helpful in allowing us to get our dreams flowers whilst keeping in our budget. We genuinely think you went above and beyond for us and we can not thank you enough for all the time and effort that you put in for our wedding. We could not recommend For the Love of Weddings more highly."
